Welcome to the abstract world of  Marck Webster.

Award winning, Long Island artist, Marck Webster has been creating artwork in various forms throughout his life. However it was not until his retirement from the NYPD in March of 2006 that he began to create abstract drawings as a full time passion.

A product of the mind expanding 1960’s Marck’s influences range from Alton Kelley and Stanley “Mouse” Miller to Peter Max and Arno . His work involves explosive colors that melt into a singular vision, allowing the viewer to connect and invent their own meaning.

    • Well hell-o there morrissny. It just so happens that i have been somewhat displaced since the events of 10-29-12, what is commonly known in meteorlogical circles as well as The Weather Channel and FoxNewsChannel as Super Storm Sandy. What a bitch she was. Although I was quite lucky, sustaining a 5″ in diameter tree limb which until seconds before spearing and penetrating my garage roof, belonged to my back-yard neighbor. Others were not so lucky. Many family members and friends’ lives were turned literally upside down. Five feet of water rushed through my brothers house destroying everything in it’s path, except for his giant flat screen television along with some of my artwork which was mounted above the newly measured waterline. Did I mention that I had a tree limb go through my garage roof?
I think I started by saying that I was somewhat displaced. Indeed I have been. Spending half my time in NYC and the other half on Long Island with the occasional jaunt upstate to Saugerties while family members get situated in new digs using my house as a temporary headquarters.
But, it’s all good. Did I tell you that a tree went through my roof?

  1. Judge Steve says:

I have always felt that the tree actually hit you on the head, said it was sorry, and THEN hit the garage roof. But your memory of events is understandable.
I’d like to tell you a short story about the amazing fortitude of the Amercian people. I was asked/ordered to go assist several MOSs (if you don’t know what it means, then you shouldn’t ask) who reside in the Rockaways. I spent quite a few hours that day helping clean out basements, pump water out, and use my charm to brighten people’s day. I was amazed by the devastation. But, and I know you shouldn’t start a sentence with the word but, but I do it for emphasis, BUT, the truly amazing thing was interacting with the neighbors, everyone helping everyone, people smiling, offering tools, offering their help at your house. It erases years of cynicism and jading.
Did I mention I lost a small piece of aluminum capping? Well, I didn’t actually lose it, but it came loose.
Marck, I am proud of you for your computer skills. I recall having to talk you out of throwing a computer out of a window more times than I care to count. If I had a dollar for each time……………………….
